Andrew John Morrison is a multi-talented actor, singer, and dancer. He was born in Scandia, Minnesota, to John Morrison and Mary Pries-Morrison. His father of Swedish ancestry and a fireman and his mother, of German ancestry, a nurse. He was raised as the fourth generation on the same farm that his Swedish ancestors settled at the end of the 19th century. As a child, Andrew began performing for the musical dinner theatre company, "The Duck Soup Players" and toured throughout Minnesota. In 2022 already, Andrew has appeared alongside Topher Grace as a Guest Star in "Home Economics" and as a variety of characters in a Google Commercial that aired during the 2022 Oscars. In 2021, he earned the starring role in the Amazon Prime series "Capitol Joe" as an Environmental Scientist turned Congressman, set to release in 2022. His role in Columbia Thesis film "Roses for Ms. Jacobs" earned Best North American Picture and was reviewed by critics as "a star naturally taking on complex characters". Official selection by Sundance Film Festival, "Creatures of Necessity" was Andrew's break out role as "Diamond". Andrew is also no stranger to the stage, in January 2020, Andrew performed as Kid at the Odyssey Theatre in the "Unseen Hand" alongside Steve Howey and Dermot Mulroney directed by David Mamet and awarded Los Angeles Times "Critic's Choice". He performed in two musicals during his first year in LA, including "The London Rose", the first musical ever written about and performed by a transgender character that ran at the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival and was awarded the 2019 Producers' Encore award. Andrew's training began with William H. Macy at Steppenwolf Theatre Ensemble Chicago and continues as a member of Groundlings improv comedy school, and vocal training with Clark Harris. Andrew is an active member of Film Independent, IDA, and IFP.
