Mohamad Al Rashi was born in Syria on September 19, 1970. Actor, director and musician, he graduated from the Higher Institute of Drama of Damascus in 1995. Since the end of 2014 he resides in Marseille, France. He began his professional life as an actor at the National Theater of Damascus and played in several shows of the director Riad Ossmat: "The nights of Sharayar" (1996), "The journey of Narcisse" (1997) and "A streetcar named desire "(1998). In 2000 he plays in "Gilgamesh" directed by Pascal Rambert as part of the Festival d'Avignon. In 2008 he played in "The Emigrants" by Soavoder Mrojek, directed by Samer Omran in Damascus and then in Amman, Beirut, Cairo and Sharjah. 2009 "The Last Band" by Samuel Beckett staged by Ossama Ghanam in Damascus and Beirut. 2010 "The novel of Baïbars" put stage of Marcel Bozonnet in Paris and Marseille. 2012 "Pallier of Suffering" by Mem Khada directed by Abdallah Alkafri. 2014 "The Righteous" by Albert Camus directed by Mehdi Aldahabi in Braunschweig, Germany.2016 "While I was waiting for you" by Mohammad El Attar, directed by Omar Abussada. European tour: Avignon Festival, Brussels, Lausanne, Naples, Zurich, Paris, Geneva . As a musician he joined the group Catherine Vincent in 2014 and together they signed the recital "Love, peace and revolution". As a director: 1999 "Steps" which he signs the staging and music (Damascus). He participated with this show in 2000 at the Carthage Theater Festival. Mohammad Al Rashi is also a television actor. He has turned in about twenty TV movies, but also film: "The emigrants" and "Four hours of Firdouss" made by Mohammad Abdelaziz. He is a founding member of the "Moktabar Damascus Theater Association" and is part of the teaching staff. He also taught drama at the Damascus Higher Institute of Drama.
