Rotimi Olowu was born on October 1st 1996 in Port Harcourt Nigeria and is a skilled in animator/ board artist. He is based in the city of Los Angeles and was raised in Port Harcourt, Nigeria to a house of four children of which he was the youngest. Through Saturday morning cartoons and superhero comics, Rotimi was able to develop his passion and love for art until it became a part of him. After befriending a fellow aspiring artist in high school, Rotimi learned about the production world of animation and what it meant to be an animator. Through their mutual love of cartoons and Japanese anime, Rotimi decided he wanted to be a part of the animation world. To expand his knowledge and skill in animation Rotimi left his home country Nigeria to study at the Academy of Art University located in San Fransisco California. With a vast resume of work behind him, Rotimi has animated and produced over four independent animated short films and five animated music videos. He has also partnered with social media influencers and companies such as Page Kennedy, Landon Moss, Naked Truth and, Channel Frederator to create animated content. Rotimi spends over 6 hours a day drawing, painting and taking on new and challenging projects. He also travels around talking to people, taking pictures and attending conventions in an attempt to gain new artistic insight. To help serve as inspiration for the art he makes, Rotimi has worked with some middle school teachers in LA to get a better understanding of the kind of cartoon content little kids like. In addition to his creative ambitions in entertainment and media, Rotimi picked up culinary artistry and has dreams of one day opening a Nigerian themed restaurant.
