Natalia Lemus Mejía is a Colombian filmmaker based in Bogotá. Her filmmaking experience began in middle school, where she took the IB Film class at The English School and learned the foundations of media studies and production, both of which she continued to build upon through her university years. A bachelor of Communication, she specialized in the audiovisual languages field and kicked off her career writing, directing, editing, and performing as an actor on short films and music videos. Some of the early films she is known for writing and directing include Días de oscuridad (2014), Trimurti (2015), Luz y sombra (2016) and Una vida sin ti (2019), the last of which went on to win at the local-based Ventanas Audiovisual Showcase. Frequently works with producer María Paula Herrera P., editor and longtime school and college friend Daniel F. Moreno and art director Ana Cerón. As an editor, she has worked for post-production houses such as Centro Ático and Sony Music Colombia.
