Jacquelyn Ferguson recently graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.A. in Theater Arts (Cum Laude, 2019). While studying at the university, Ferguson performed "The Interference" at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, and was one of three students who was selected to devise a new play alongside Scottish playwright, Davey Anderson. This opportunity allowed Ferguson to combine her two greatest passions: theater and social activism. Jacquelyn spent several months studying race relations before traveling to Glasgow to collaborate with a group of artists from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The play centered around activism, racism, and hate groups existing within the United States, and Ferguson went on to star in the world premiere of "The Abode" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scotland. Jacquelyn was accepted into the American Conservatory Theater where she completed the Summer Training Congress, and she continues to study and strengthen her craft under the guidance of the award-winning theater director and filmmaker, Cameron Watson. Since graduating, Ferguson has starred in short films such as "Sidelined" and "Fights Past." Most recently, Ferguson worked alongside her friend, Ryan Harr, to create her first horror short film "Reflected." "Reflected" has been accepted into the Hollywood Horror Fest, and received the Silver Award for "Best Thriller Short" at the Independent Short Awards (ISA). The short will be streamed on ISA's channel, hosted by Xerb.tv. Jacquelyn is in pre-production of another original horror short, which is set to be completed in October 2020.
