Ana Montgomery-Neutze is a Maori (indigenous New Zealand) documentary filmmaker and photographer of Muaupoko/Ngai Tara tribal descent, living and working in New York City. She has over 20 years experience in photography and has been working as a director, producer, cinematographer, editor and colorist since graduating from the School of Visual Arts with her MFA in Social Documentary Film in 2018. Her first feature documentary, Feelin' Famous, is currently in post-production. Ana's previous career was in education. She worked as a high school teacher for several years, and then as a program manager responsible for indigenous high school curriculum and resource development. Her intention is to enable indigenous people, and other misrepresented groups of people to tell their stories through film in a way that accurately represents their beliefs and ideas.
