Each miss-step Erica Sinclair took, showed her who she needed to become and where her true passions laid. Erica cannot remember the exact moments when she decided against becoming a doctor or geologist, but she does remember when she decided to become a screenwriter. Unlike other forms of writing, screenwriting allows Erica to break the barrier of senses not available through novels or poetry. As a screenwriter, she possess the ability to guide and inform generations, to expose the harsh and beautiful realities that viewers don't witness in their everyday lives and to uplift or crush the emotions of an audience. These responsibilities should not be taken lightly. Erica graduated from California State University, Fresno in 2016 with a B.A. in Mass Communication and Journalism with a Multimedia Production Option. She is pursuing my M.F.A. in Writing and Producing for Television from Loyola Marymount University. Erica attended the 2019 Sundance Film Festival as a volunteer and was able to attend many events as an intern for Big Beach, which premiered The Farewell and The Sunlit Night. Erica has directed many short films, one of which was just released. Erica write scripts steeped in controversy and psychology because she believes that having the difficult conversation is better than no conversation at all. Erica overcome each obstacle through screenwriting. It is vehicle where she could apply her emotions and experiences to create intense and honest screenplays. With each script she writes, one goal is to connect to those who feel lost, lonely or do not feel at all. "I've come across many whom turn to religion, substance abuse, fitness or other outlets to give meaning to their journeys, I turn to screenwriting." Erica Sinclair
