Erika Mitschrich has been acting in theatre for over 10 years in roles ranging from the dishonest heartbreaker in Neil LaBute's "The Shape of Things" to the grieving, responsible, and protective older sister, Teresa in Shelagh Stephenson's, "Memory of Water". She has also acted in over 15 independent films with various roles including a church custodian, a demon, a comedic gangster, and various mother roles. Continually working on her craft, Erika takes classes for Meisner Technique in Berlin, taught by Steven Ditmyer a former student of both Sanford Meisner and Uta Hagen. She has also studied at the London School of Dramatic Art and received a certificate for screen acting from dBs Berlin, an intense full-time acting program that includes voice, movement, acting for camera, and technique classes. Erika holds a B.A, B.Ed., and M.Sc., and while acting, has taught Drama and literature in Canadian and international schools in China for 10 years. She received her yoga teaching certification in Rishikesh, India from Himalayan Yoga Master Yogrishi Vishvketu. Her goal in life is to work with Richard Linklater, Lena Dunham, Greta Gerwig, and Anna Deveare Smith.
