Kaya McLean (KYE-ah mi-KLANE), SAG-AFTRA, is an emerging young American actor based in Los Angeles. Kaya's 2021 credits include a recurring voiceover role in a new Cartoon Network animated TV series (under non-disclosure) and a supporting role in an animated feature film to be released summer 2021 (also NDA.) Kaya's previous credits include the new Khloe Kardashian-produced "Twisted Love" crime series on Investigation Discovery; the lead role in an internet streaming psychological thriller "Unusual Predictions," several short films and a music video. She trains with top LA acting and voiceover coaches and has taken improv classes with The Second City. Kaya loves performing live theatre. Her performance of Lily in Kentwood Players' production of "The Giver," adapted from the Newberry Award-winning novel by Lois Lowry, earned Kaya a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in the 2020 Marcum Masque Awards. Kaya is prepping the lead role in a new theatrical work to be mounted in Los Angeles post-Covid. Kaya got her start as a baby model at 4 months old in commercials and national department store ads. As a toddler, Kaya was featured on toy product boxes and in toy videos. From age 3 to 8, Kaya's main focus was just being a happy kid, while developing her vivid imagination through creative outlets such as painting and storytelling. Then, at age 8, she began feeling "bitten by the bug" to act. She started acting in plays, taking classes and receiving coaching. In a very short time earned numerous credits in film, TV, new media and on the theatre stage in Los Angeles. Kaya says she loves exploring different characters and finding ways to bring them to life. In addition to performing, Kaya enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, blowing bubblegum bubbles, playing baseball, dancing, playing Pokemon, taking photographs, and reading anything she can get her hands on - especially comic books, graphic novels, the Dog Man, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Ivy & Bean series, as well as all things Harry Potter.
