Hannah Kim (she/her) is an Australian actor based in Sydney, represented by Milk and Sugar Management. She is set to make her professional acting debut as the lead character Yu Na on the upcoming ABC ME show Born to Spy (2021) (previously titled Parent Up) created by Justine Flynn, produced in conjunction with Aquarius Films. She is known for her role as the lead character Candice in episode Swipe Left (2021) in New Order Art House's award-winning short series Social Murderer (2021). Her role in Social Murderer won an Honourable Mention for Best Acting Ensemble at the Independent Shorts Awards. Hannah has also appeared in supporting roles for independent short films and has completed training at the Australian Theatre for Young People under the tutelage of notable Australian educators and performing artists such as John Bashford, Anita Hegh, Jo Turner, Robert Jago and Dino Dimitriadis. Hannah Kim was born on July 6, 1998, in Canberra, Australia. Her father's family migrated to Sydney in 1989 from Seoul, South Korea while her mother arrived in Canberra (also from Seoul) in 1997 as an international student. At age 2, her family later relocated to Sydney to be closer to their extended family. She has a younger brother, Amos Kim, who has studied Contemporary Music Practice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music since 2021. She went to primary school at Maroubra Junction Public School and later attended high school at Brigidine College Randwick, graduating in 2016. Her other pursuits include academic study at the University of Sydney, majoring in Theatre & Performance Studies and International Relations.
