Jane Kotlyar is an actor, producer, dancer and a global citizen, having lived in four countries, traveled to seven continents and mastered over five languages. Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Jane began learning ballet and ballroom dance at the age of four with her first major stage performance at the Kiev Youth Theatre for Opera and Ballet. After three years of dance, she switched to acrobatics as well as began her piano training. She qualified for national acrobatic competition at the age of eight. Jane moved to Toronto, Canada when she was thirteen. In addition to an advanced high school curriculum, part-time jobs and volunteering, she focused on studying drama, for which she received Top of Her Class Award. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Toronto, completing a double major in Philosophy and Mathematics, with a minor in History. Her study of existentialism and human condition proved invaluable in her extracurricular pursuit of theatre. From Toronto, Jane moved to Munich, Germany, where she lived for almost six years and briefly worked with the Entity Theatre. She used this time to learn languages, travel the planet and study its cultures and people. In 2013, Jane moved to New York City and never looked back. A proud HB Studio alumnus and Actors' Equity Association actor, Jane performs in numerous Off-Broadway and independent theatre productions at Theatre Row, The Duke on 42nd, Southold Opera, The Players Theatre, HB Playwrights Theatre, and Dixon Place. She continues to gather film credits, including voice-over work in various accents for animation as well as educational videos in the areas of finance and technology. She was a co-founding producer of JWalk Productions NYC, LLC and occasionally still produces as a freelance.
