Zak Ma

Zak Ma is a Vietnamese American bi-coastal (LA/NY) actor, singer, dancer, born in Vietnam, raised in Orange County, CA. He is the son of two hardworking immigrants who brought him to the US when he was 7 years old to pursue his dreams. Zak has always wanted to be a healer, so he intended to be an oncologist, but a life changing experience helped him realize that the healing he wants to do is through the arts. He believes in the power of liberation through the arts and loves to explore expansive psychological concepts in his work. In 2017, he began his MFA training at The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City, where he explored transformational roles such as Prior in Angels in America and Alan in Equus. Zak is also a passionate devised theatre artist, having created original experimental works such as The Park, Shinka, and Forces. His musical credits include Matt in BARE: a pop opera and Linus in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Most recently, he appeared onscreen as Jesse in an all Asian TV comedy series, Queens (2018- ).
