Jonathan Sedgwick

Jonathan Gary Sedgwick, born March 9, 1981 in Sheffield, England. Jonathan is a professional wrestler, promoter, choreographer, producer and director, he studied martial arts, kickboxing and Karate before starting his professional wrestling training. A life long fan of Wrestling, in 2007 Jonathan formed a Wrestling Merchandise Store located in Ossett, West Yorkshire with business partner Gill Flowers. After the success of the store, 12 months later the first ring was purchased, 2008 UK Wrestling was created and spent Co-promoting events while learning the industry, in July 2009 the first UK Wrestling stand-alone event, Wrestlebration was held, which has become the companies annual showcase event and widely considered as the pinnacle in British Wrestling events. The same year, the UK Wrestling Academy was also introduced. UK Wrestling has primarily always run from its own venue, today the UKW Arena is located in Batley, West Yorkshire, it's the training school and TV Studio for the companies episodic series which broadcasts on the Sports Channel Network. In 2019, Jonathan was approached by Actor/Director Taavi Peelo and offered one of the lead roles in the feature Babyface (2021) this would be Jonathan's first acting appearance. Jonathan's eldest two son's also aspire to be wrestling stars and train at the UK Wrestling Academy.
