I've bounced around a lot of creative interests growing up. I was a musician for 9 years, studied art from a very young age, and became obsessed with filmmaking. I attended the University of Akron and received my BFA in Graphic Design. There I collaborated with many students and learned a lot of lessons through working as a team and finding the drive on individual projects. I'm now attending the University of Southern California and pursuing an MFA in Film and Television Production. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether I'm making pictures move, designing posters, or manipulating sound waves into sweet melodies... as long as I'm being creative and telling a story that can entertain others, I'm happy. My family and culture are a big part of who I am. My parents immigrated from Slovakia in 1994 to give me and my brother a better life with more opportunities. It's difficult to tell if I'm more Slovak or American at times so most of the time I'll just say I'm Kovac. We traveled a lot growing up and it really influenced my vision by seeing new cultures and beautiful landscapes. I can't help it, those memories have always seeped into my art.
