Susan Pahlke

I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and received my JD from the University of Nebraska College of Law and practice law with a focus in research and writing. I was engaged with camera work and research in the feature film, "The Art of Dissent" (2020), which focuses on the dissident movement in Czechoslovakia after 1968 and through the Velvet Revolution. The next project of which I am co-writing and filming with director James D. Le Sueur is the documentary film, "Before September" which explores the subjects of terrorism in the US before 9/11. Future projects with director James D. Le Sueur include "The Peril of Dissent" of which regards writers and cultural actors threatened by religious radicals and authoritarian states after 1989. "Before September" and "The Peril of Dissent" are both in development with filming underway.
