Emerson Cole

Emerson Cole is a full-time freelance sound mixer based in Chicago. He started his filmmaking journey at Columbia College Chicago with a focus on directing. To get on set as often as possible, he worked in many different departments all throughout his time at Columbia. Early on as G+E and assistant camera, he moved towards assistant directing, production design, and sound. Sound Mixing ended up sticking as his job description for the last two years of college. When he graduated in 2021, he worked as he did through college, in many different positions, like editing, videography, sound mixing, and production assistant. He then worked for some larger shows like Big Brother Season 23 and Apple TV's The Shining Girls. In 2021 he started to work with national brands and mixed his first TV show. In 2022 he continued to rise and worked with more notable brands and shows. Some brands he has worked for are Amazon Music Rotation, New Balance, USBank, and Abbott. Emerson has also worked on more shows and movies, for the likes of LG and Starz. His dream of directing never died, as he continues to direct short films every year and submit them to film festivals.
