Franchesca was born on February 25, 1990 in Calgary, Canada. Raised in both Canada and Hong Kong, she is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2012. She then returned to follow her passion in drama and graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree in Drama, major in Acting in 2019. During her studies in acting school, she received multiple scholarships including three times of the Hong Kong HSBC Scholarships, Jaeger-LeCoultre Performing Arts Scholarships, Outstanding Actor Award of school production "Dust and Dawn", Schools' Outstanding Student Award and Director's Award - Outstanding Student Award. She has performed in multiple stage, film and voice-over productions. She starred in an independent film "Hong Kong 1942" (2021), TV series "Barrack O'Karma 2" (2021) and short film "Shut Off" (2020).
