Jason Frye

Jason is a 24 year police officer. His spent 8.5 years with the Toronto Police Service. His first 5 years were in uniform patrol and his last 3.5 were spent as a member of SWAT Team One at the Emergency Task Force, Toronto's Prestigious SWAT Team. Jason responded to hundreds of high risk critical incidents including barricaded armed individuals, high risk warrant service and hostage rescue operations. In 2006, Jason transferred to the Barrie Police Service to be closer to home. He spent time in uniform patrol, worked as a Detective Constable in the Criminal Investigation Branch, and then spent 6 years as a Use of Force and Firearms Training Officer. Promoted to Sergeant in 2017, Jason returned to the SWAT team where he was in charge of a 10 man team and 3 K9 officers. Jason is a civilian firearms instructor for the Province of Ontario. He is responsible for teaching and qualifying anybody who wishes to acquire or use rifles, shotgun or pistol for shooting sports and/or hunting. Jason has taught thousands of students to handle firearms safely. Jason also spent 6 years serving his country in the Canadian Armed Forces. He was a proud member of the 2nd Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, and also served as a Paratrooper with the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada which is a reserve Infantry Regiment based out of Toronto, Ontario. As a result of Jason's career, he is proficient handling firearms in any type of setting including crowded environments, low lit environments, movement in and out of vehicles, and real life/simulated SWAT and Military Operations.
