Francois Bessing

Francois Ngon A Bessing was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on December 29, 1988. He is the son of therapist, Pastor, motivational speaker, and Christian counselor Dr. Joseph Ngon Bessing and Maria Bessing. Bessing's family moved often during childhood due to his dad's education and even settled in Cameroon, Africa for two and a half year at one point. Bessing is trilingual. Since childhood and to the present, he only speaks to his father in French and speaks only Spanish to his mother. Bessing trained classically as a Bass-Baritone before venturing out and exploring music theatre, afropop, and neosoul. His first musical endeavor was an album entitled "City & Time" which was initially released December 2015 which garnered two licensing requests from executives from Spotify LLC. Bessing has sung as a Cantor across the East coast and toured with the Emmy-winning Theatre Collaborative known as T.I.G.E.R. (Theatre Integrating Guidance, Education, and Responsibility) which teaches kids to speak up, stand up, and get help when confronting bullying. Bessing broke into the movie industry as a background extra in the Disney movie "Godmothered" (2021) and has continued working to expand his resume. Bessing sees himself as a singer-songwriter primarily who is happy to be a "griot" (storyteller) in any medium he has the opportunity to. Bessing co-founded SocoPop Records LLC with his college roommate through which he releases his music. As of April 2020, he is working on an EP Album featuring his most personal songs and was cast as a supporting actor in "Date With an Angel" a remake of the 1987 version with modern elements.
