Jennifer Martin is a charismatic American film and television actress born in Port Townsend, Washington, the youngest child of father Harold Hartz and mother Nancy (Alexie) Hartz. Jennifer began studying ballet at age five, eventually filling principal roles including Clara in The Nutcracker. Jennifer fell in love with acting during her first stage production at age 8, and she continued studying vocal music and theatre throughout childhood. Jennifer was a member of the Seattle Children's Chorus in high school, and traveled from her small hometown to Seattle weekly for rehearsals and performances. Intelligent and headstrong, at age 15 she attended Peninsula Community college while simultaneously attending Chimacum High School, eventually graduating from Oklahoma Christian University where she met her future husband, Michael. After marrying in 2004, Jennifer took a break from performing to raise their three children. While living in Germany, Jennifer was cast as the powerful vocalist Bird Girl in Seussical the Musical, and realized performing arts was her calling. After living in various countries abroad, Michael and Jennifer returned to the United States where Jennifer pursued her acting career.
