Kartik Swaminathan Venkatraman left his day job at Bank of America after working there for 14 years to pursue his ambition to become a film director. Having already written 3 feature film screenplays and many more short film screenplays, he started training at New York Film Academy to hone his skills as a filmmaker. His first short movie "Terahvin (Thirteenth)" which was shot in New York City during the pandemic has received immense appreciation being officially selected for 9 film festivals and winning 2 Awards. His 2nd film "The Neighbor" has been immensely appreciated having garnered 150 K views on YouTube, winning 5 Awards and officially selected in 10 International Film Festivals. He made 3 more short films after "The Neighbor" and his latest film "Smoking Kills" is being sent to Cannes FIlm Festival. Kartik has started working on his first feature film "Karma" which is in Pre-Production stage as of now.
