Dan Albuk is a Brazilian director and screenwriter. His first short film "Persona", which was written, produced, filmed, and edited in just 72 hours, and in which he was a director and screenwriter, was awarded in 5 categories at the 72 Hours Rio Film Festival, including Best Film, Best Fiction, and Best Cinematography. In 2018, Albuk wrote, produced, directed, and edited the independent no-budget feature film "The Lonely Sailor", starring Hugo Carvalho, Oscar Calixto, Paulla Carniell, and Mirela Pizani. In less than six months "The Lonely Sailor" was officially selected to 16 film festivals across the world, winning 13 awards so far, including awards for Best Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cast, and Audience Choice.
