Roman Grandinetti comes from an old-school Italian family who immigrated to Brooklyn from Calabria, Italy. He grew up in the Bensonhurst neighborhood and is super proud of it, wearing it as a badge of honor to this day. A couple of years ago, with dreams of expanding his brand and developing more marketing skills, he teamed up with his mother, Regina (they are very close, as Roman is an only child), to open up 'Regina's Grocery & Deli.' He designed the shop to remind him of the social clubs he spent time in as a kid, and the mom-and-pop stores he bought his groceries in growing up. Roman has a unique NYC edge, and brings with him the energy he picked up from hanging out on the corners of Brooklyn and time spent with his colorful family. Roman and his mom run operations together and had a full supporting staff before COVID-19. Roman looks after the marketing and business side of things, while his 65-year-old mother cooks. His mother has a soft spot for firemen and policeman, so they've always been tight with those communities of workers. Roman loves cooking and delivering their favorite dinners after a long shift! He's also a DJ!
