Diana Wilson

Diana Wilson is a Queens, N.Y. girl who was raised in Rosedale by her Panamanian father and Puerto Rican mother. She watched her father sacrifice everything for his country in the US Air Force and she inherited the need to help people from him. As a mother, widow, daughter, and sister, Diana has always put everyone else's needs over herself, especially in the last three years. Three years ago, she single-handedly saved her father from a stroke at home, and more recently, one year ago she watched the love of her life suffer from organ failure and pass. Although she has been through many tragedies, Diana has been strong for her children and her community as an FDNY EMT. She knows many people depend on her and would never let any of them down. Diana applied to be an EMT right after 9/11. She saw the first responders to that crisis and knew she wanted to be like them and help. She's now been an Emergency Medical Technician for the FDNY for the last 17 years. Her main responsibilities as an EMT is treating patients and stabilizing them as she transports them to the nearest hospital. As a person who is used to dealing with high-pressure situations, Diana makes quick decisions and adapts to changes in order to save the lives of her patients. Diana and her fellow FDNY'ers at the house do their best to uplift morale and keep a confident and poised face when responding to calls. The people of Queens rely on them to keep chaos from ensuing and Diana is proud to show up every day to do so. As a single mom with two boys, ages 11 and 15-years-old, Diana is doing everything to protect them. Diana's second family are her brothers and sisters at her firehouse.
