Serita Lockley was born and raised in a small town in Middlesex County, VA where her family was one of the only diverse families in the community. Her town was one that you either make it in or get trapped in due to extremely rough circumstances. Growing up, Serita's mom lived paycheck to paycheck while working her multiple jobs, and her dad was a dump truck driver. When Serita was 26, her mom unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack. Serita's mother's last words to her, "be the best version of yourself" and they stuck with her to this day. Now she is a proud, small business owner paying it forward to the community she loves. Serita believes that trucking keeps the world moving. Serita's father was a dump truck driver and she always loved seeing him work. He actually taught her to drive the truck when she got her license and from that point on, she always knew she'd be a trucker. She worked hard to save for her first tractor-trailer and since then has added 9 more trucks that haul supplies all over the state of Virginia. As an ode to her father, she also opened a dump truck company. Serita may own the company, but that doesn't mean she isn't behind the wheel. Never losing her love of driving, she still gets in the driver's seat and hits the road. Serita's trucks not only transport valuable material to help pave the roadways and help with construction during the pandemic, but they also deliver essential items to retirement homes and 'Below 7's' (Dollar Trees). Serita has been the only one from her family to get out of her small town. Her brother is currently incarcerated, and her father lives a half an hour away. Serita has a beautiful girlfriend, Tammy, of 8 years. While they don't live together, they see each other every day and plan on marrying in the future.
