Woody Faircloth was born into a tight-knit community in North Carolina that heavily impacted his desire to help others. With his father being a football coach at Duke and Wake Forest, he naturally attended Wake Forest University, where he was taught by Maya Angelou. He moved to Denver 15 years ago where he was able to get that same sense of community he grew up with. Woody is a two-time divorced, single father who is currently raising his 6-year-old daughter. For the past decade, Woody has been working as an account manager for a telecommunications company and while he enjoys his job, where he mostly works from home now, it wasn't until 18 months ago that he really discovered his passion in life. Inspired to help during the California wildfires, Woody purchased a small RV to donate to a family who lost their home. Eager to do more, Woody created the non-profit 'RV4CampFireFamily.' Woody set out on Facebook and teamed up with the group, 'RVs 4 MDs,' where he has helped match nurses, doctors, and more with people donating RV's for the cause. When he is not working, Woody is handling up to 500 requests a day to help out those in need. Once he has matched an RV with an MD, he and his daughter set out on the journey to pick it up from its owner and get it ready for the medical professional who will be utilizing it. Woody will sometimes drive hours to pick up an RV, clean, furnish, and get it repaired. The most rewarding part is dropping the RV off at the new home. Woody loves seeing parents and kids relieved faces and tears of joy upon arrival. Woody's life has changed dramatically over the past year. He is recently divorced and is now raising his youngest daughter on his own. Balancing a 6-year-old, working his day job, and finding RV's has become a challenge that he has gladly welcomed.
