Lydia Georgantzi

Lydia is a German born Greek actress who's work is bi-continental between New York, Berlin and Athens. Her passion for theatre developed out of her love for movement and languages, which form the basis of her work. As a Polyglot (English, German, Greek, French, Spanish), accents and dialects are part of her skills. She has worked extensively with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and tested in all eight of their stage combat weapon disciplines. Her background in various dance and movement forms (ballet, yoga, hip-hop) and education in Alexander Technique add to her physical ease on stage and in front of the camera. Lydia graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in 2016, and received another Associates Degree in Science and Arts from Borough of Manhattan Community College in 2018. In 2020, Lydia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Thesis in Acting from Columbia Univeristy. She has participated at numerous workshops at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and NYU. Her most recent credits include A Movie Star Has To Star In Black And White (Glicker Milstein Theatre, NYC), Peer Gynt (Minor Latham Playhouse, NYC), and More Than All The World (Theatre for the New City). She recently appeared in Love Happens (dir. Miguel Quirós) and Maybe Next Time (dir. Hayat Aljowaily).
