Monica Aggarwal

Monica was born and bought up in India to an army family and completed her education at Delhi University graduating from Miranda House, before joining the fashion industry as a designer and coordinator. This was her first foray in the world of creativity and she created and designed outfits for export to fashion houses around the world. Monica then moved to London at a young age of 23, and started her career as a school teacher, where she continued to hone her skills as an artist through teaching art, drama and designing school displays with her students. Monica used her extensive travel and cultural experience from around the world for inspiration and continued to evolve as an artist before moving yet once again to Singapore. In Singapore, Monica set up her own art company, Piku Arts and started her career as a professional painter. Monica has sold several paintings and is well known in the Singapore art circuit. Not satisfied with just a career in painting, Monica entered into the amateur theatre scene and event management in Singapore, promoting and introducing Indian artists and shows to Singapore. It is here that Monica came to the notice of a producer and director, who signed her up for her debut film, Wishlist. Monica now is a co-producer and an actor who is performing in other Indian productions, including several web series. Monica continues to paint and organize events, demonstrating her passion and interest for all forms of art and culture. Monica is married with one son.
