Mickey Vermeer

Mickey Vermeer (Netherlands) is a Dutch stage, film and television actress. She is especially famous for her role as Black Pete Kadopiet in the productions of "De Club van Sinterklaas". Studied Musicaltheater at the Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Tilburg. Mickey is active in acting, singing and dancing since 2008, since 2020 as Black Pete. Her passion for singing, dancing and acting started when she was a child. After a preliminary training she took classes in addition to her regular high school schedule. After graduating from high school she studied a preliminary education at the university. During the college education that followed she played in the stage plays "Girlfriends", "Spring Awakening" and "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying". She starred in the children stage plays "Pinocchio" (by Studio 100) and "Echt Scheiding... de Musical" (for the Institute for Social Work, and The Children's Phone). In the following year she added "Evita" and "Aida in Concert" to the list. On television she was seen in the Dutch program "Spotlight!" on the Dutch children network Nickelodeon and an episode of the American reality series "Rev Runs Around the World" on the Travel Channel. In 2020 she started as a Black Pete for De Club van Sinterklaas. Despite looking more like a 'soot swipe pete' in appearance (which is less traditional) than a 'black pete', in her act she turned out to be more traditional than her predecessors were in the previous twenty years.
