Director Trey Daughtrey is a retired combat veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. In 2005, while still on active duty he started his film career as an extra on a country music video in Savannah Georgia. In the years that followed he began developing his film skills through his work with multiple churches. Along the way he did work as a concert and wedding videographer. In 2015 he participated in the "I Was There" Patton Veteran Project while assigned to Fort Lewis McChord. The course utilizes film industry professionals to teach servicemembers how to tell stories through film. Trey Daughtrey went on to Direct or Asst. Direct multiple short films and features.
