Guy Coburn

Guy Coburn grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. His early career was as an architectural photographer. He became interested in film production and after a course at AFTRS he started working at a company that provided film production design and construction services to the then booming Australian movie industry of the 1980's. Travelling took Guy to Asia in the 90's where he worked for advertising agencies as a producer. Later he established one of the first facilitation services in Vietnam where he also shot corporate films and stills for a variety of clients. He worked in almost every crew position to gain experience and often out of necessity in the early days. From the mid 90's Guy based himself in Jakarta Indonesia that had become a mecca for experienced Australian production professionals developing the explosive demand for high end television commercials when private TV channels where in their infancy. Here he produced and directed TVC's, and other content for many years establishing his own production company. On returning to Sydney Guy became involved with camera rental and continued production facilitation and producing. Recently he has continued his first interest from student years as a fashion photographer/videographer and shoots all the content for a local Sydney fashion brand as well as other freelance gigs.
