Tosin Taiwo (popularly known as Tosinger) is an actress and storyteller with more than 15 years of performance experience. Coming from a background of musical theater, she has been involved in the growing Atlanta film market featuring in various capacities. She has acted in indie films, shorts, TV & web series, and musical theatre productions, bringing to life female ethnic characters and narratives while expressing relatable human stories. She has also acted in stage play productions including 'Wedlock of the gods' and 'A Song for Adaeze', an afrofuturistic musical that debuted at the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival. She is mostly typecast as "African Queen", "African Royalty", "African Mother", "African Aunty", "African Female Shaman/Healer/Avatar", "African Singer". She has been organically growing within the film industry, training while doing multiple background work in major Hollywood productions over the years including Black Panther and Hidden Figures. Based on her unique and natural micro expressions, Tosinger was singled out to feature in 'Black Lightning' as a teacher in an episode within days of being on set as an extra. From features, she has landed lead speaking roles including the short film "Asylum" and a lead recurring role in the series "From the Motherland".
