Greg Schwartz

Greg has been writing since the age of 16. At 21, he began work on the first installment of The Archon's Legacy, a YA adventure/fantasy series that blossomed from his love of world building. After completing his second manuscript, he graduated from UMass Amherst with a degree in English Literature and specialization in Creative Writing, placing 13th out of a class of nearly 3,700. In 2019, Greg began his journey into the world of stunts and joined SAG-AFTRA as a stunt performer only months later. During the COVID hiatus in 2020, he nearly had an opportunity to pitch a one-hour pilot to Netflix, and although that endeavor wasn't successful, he never looked back. Greg has written two one-hour pilots, three full-length features, and one short -- which combined, have advanced over a dozen times in major screenwriting competitions including the Nicholl Fellowship, the Austin Film Festival's Screenwriting Competition, and a double-semifinal placement in the 2021 Screencraft Fellowship. As a writer, his voice usually centers around "needs over wants," and "triumph over both physical and emotional obstacles," drawing inspiration from his own life as an international athlete and hopeless romantic. As a director, he thrives on the collaborative process, believing that the value of a whole, complete team is far greater than the sum of its parts. When he isn't working in the industry, Greg enjoys rock climbing, playing classical piano, and buying, selling, and trading Pokemon cards.
