Jenny Martel

Jenny Martel hails from the very small town of Matewan, WV, the home of both the Matewan Massacre and the Hatfield McCoy Feud, both featured in several movies and an acclaimed mini-series. Her career aspiration for many years was to be a public school band director, and her Master's degree from Morehead State University was in Conducting. However, once Jenny stepped on a stage, it was all over for those band director dreams and she has worked full steam ahead for acting ever since. She left WV long ago for Los Angeles before settling in New York City, where she appeared in over 100 NYC theatre productions as she simultaneously excelled in the business world of finance. Jenny has returned to full time acting in film, television and theatre, her re-entry has already been successful: she shot a 2021 series regular role in an indie sci-fi TV Drama Pilot, Contretemps. She is married to Thomas Crossman and is the proud mother of actor Amy Crossman.
