Marquis Quinones

Marquis Quinones is an American actor of Black and Puerto Rican descent. He was born and raised in Harlem, New York and spent 7 years of his childhood living in Puerto Rico. As early as he can remember, Marquis had a passion for "acting out" and getting attention in a positive away. It was in Puerto Rico where his natural ambition would find a proper platform, when he got cast as a featured extra in Steven Spielberg's classic film 'Amistad'. Marquis returned to The States at the age of 15 and was soon introduced to the harsh neighborhood conditions and trappings of a late 90s/early 2000s New York City. Even though trouble found him and sometimes vice-versa, it was clear that his behavior was a result of his childhood passion for "acting out", but now, for the wrong reasons. As adolescence transformed into adulthood, Marquis made the firm decision to elevate above his circumstances and pursue his dream of becoming an actor. With determination and a bit of "luck" he would come to gravitate towards veteran acting coach Bob Luke, who he trained with periodically. In 2016, his gravitational pull would get even stronger when meeting a fellow rising Black actor who was farther along in his journey. That individual is today's leading man Jonathan Majors, who back then gave Marquis private acting lessons, along with a valuable mentorship that stretched beyond the cinematic craft. Today, Marquis is still determined and his gravitational pull hasn't failed him yet. He's anxious to see what kinds of projects and people he will collide with as he continues his life-long journey through the realm of film and television.
