Lukas Vízner

Lukas Vizner was born on June 22, 1998 in Kezmarok, Slovakia. In his hometown he was part of various volunteering theaters, and he regularly attended poetry competitions winning several awards. Lukas has also been competitively dancing ever since he was 6 years old. He won multiple Slovak, as well as EU championships with his dancing crew. Later in his teens, besides different modeling jobs, Lukas began his film production studies at Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia (VSMU). There he was in production crew for plenty of university short films e.g. film Timeless (2018). He also attended a one year film production program at Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic (FAMU), where he earned an international production certificate. During his studies he realized that he wants to pursue directing career. In March 2020, Lukas with Miriam Fulmeková and his sister Ester Víznerová established Emedi productions. Their debut movie Only Human (2020) had a gala premiere in Bratislava in August 2020. Half a year after the official premiere, the film Only human was selected and screened at almost thirty festivals worldwide. In most of them the film earned podium positions, including several awards. In February 2021, the second short film of Emedi productions The last one (Posledná) (2021) was created and is in the post-production. Lukas operates as a director, screenwriter and producer at Emedi productions.
