As a director, Brent maximizes possibilities. He creatively uses minimal budgets to develop engaging and entertaining films. He has a knack for drawing characters out of new actors as well as fine tuning nuances from seasoned veterans. As a writer, Brent tells stories that haven't been told before from interesting and unique perspectives. Brent has enjoyed a long and successful career in theatre - starting in lighting design and writing, then expanding to producing and directing. Although he still loves the live stage, the COVID pandemic nudged him into film. Ever the theatre purist, he went somewhat reluctantly, but he enjoys producing films more than he would like to admit. He believes that film has a unique method of storytelling. It provides viewpoints and leads an audience far beyond any other medium. It is also no longer a canvas restricted to big budget production companies. Digital advances have expanded the film world within reach of the masses, and this brings exciting opportunities. Although he has traveled the world and almost every state, he calls the Pacific Northwest his home. He lives in the foothills of the Cascade mountains with his wife of 30+ years, Cheryl.
