Peter Sharp

Peter Arnold Sharp was born in Tasmania, Australia. Sharp started his television career in the 1960's and 1970's in Melbourne, Victoria as a sports commentator and reporter for ATVO. He later returned to Tasmania, appearing as a presenter and commentator for Hobart's TVT6, where he hosted "World of Sport" and "Win Today". He spent many years from the 1970's until the 1990's covering Tasmanian football on television, for "The Sunday Tasmanian" newspaper and on "7HO" radio. For his contributions to Tasmanian football, he was inducted into the Tasmanian Football Hall Of Fame in 2010. Sharp died in Tasmania on 31 May 2021.
