Alexander Garcia Mallarini

Alexander Garcia Mallarini was born in New York City but raised in Montevideo, Uruguay. With a background in Art Direction he worked for various advertising agencies in New York, but it wasn't until a few years in that he found his passion for filmmaking. In the past 5 years his focus has been directing and screenwriting shorts to pursue his love for storytelling. With a mentality of learning-by-doing, he acknowledge the importance of constantly being a student of the craft. Currently, Alexander resides in Barcelona, Spain where he founded production agency Madman Creative Lab in 2019. His latest work includes "Melody of a Sorrow Heart" (2022); "Fuera de Nuestro Control" (2021) and "A Travelers Guide to Happiness" (2021) which has received 11 festival nominations. His purpose is to disrupt and create a narrative that will make people think deep inside themselves and their paths, which is why he always leans on his saying "Create Beautiful Chaos."
