Bill Kramer is the CEO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the world's preeminent organization devoted to cinema. In this role, he oversees a budget of $180MM and a team of over 700 people. He is responsible for all of the Academy's global operations and programs, including the Academy Awards, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, film education and preservation initiatives, and services for the organization's 10,000 members. Previously, he was the Director and President of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, overseeing all aspects of the project's management, design, physical development, curating, fund raising, and creative direction. Prior to becoming Director and President, he served as the museum's Managing Director for Development and External Relations, successfully raising $250 million to move the project into construction and managing the project's public approvals and planning process. Kramer has led significant capital and comprehensive fund raising campaigns for the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Southern California Institute of Architecture, and California Institute of the Arts. He also has served in senior fund raising and external relations positions at the Sundance Institute and the Columbia University School of the Arts. Kramer holds a Master of Urban Planning and Public Administration degree from New York University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
