Priyam Archi, a Bangladeshi Actor, has brought many challenging characters to life throughout her acting career. She had a humble beginning of life- being born as the youngest child from her parents. Back then, they were in Chattogram city. However, she spent her childhood at Noakhali where she was the restless daredevil with an indomitable spirit. She used to play around at the wildly backyard, swim on the ponds and staged games with the nature all day long. One can only guess how much of beauty has mother nature had shared with her to make her so much of a natural beauty for life! As she was growing up, people could easily mark her different from the crowd. She was charming, chirping and boldly confident as a child as she participated in cultural functions at her schools and social gatherings. However, she finally found and nurtured her soulful acting skill in Chattagram Shilpakala's Nattyakala on 2008. She worked with Binodiny Nattyadol (Chattagram), where one of her notable performances was in Sayed Shamsul Haque's renowned play 'Payeer Awaz Pawa Jai' (2009) as Matbor's daughter. The play was directed by Prodeep Dewanjee. Like the spark of first love, spirit of acting and expressing a persona through oneself- Priyam became fascinated to find her way to the realm of mass media. She reached Dhaka with the objective of completing her MBA on Marketing from University of Dhaka and a secret mission to participate on the largest beauty pageant in Bangladesh - 'Lux Channel-I Superstar 2010'. She completed both her mission and objective with flying colors. The grooming and skill development from the contest had empowered her to explore and open doors to a new territory- modeling. Soon she became a regular face in the communication materials of many of the big brands of the country. Being true to her love of acting, she always gave preference to quality over the quantity of visual contents. Though she has acted in a handful single episode TV drama shows, serials and commercials, her presence on screen was always vibrant. Her first short film as a lead actor, 'Komolapuran' (2014), directed by Aminur Rahman, achieved the Best Director's Award in prestigious Dadashahib Falke Award in India. 'Ontorin: The Captive' and 'Aparajita Muktir Shikkha Sofor' are two other short films with her on the lead. Interestingly, in each of the films- she had played roles which represents overcoming of social barrier and flourishing as an empowered women even in different circumstances and different personas. This also landed her the opportunity to score and perform on the lead role of the most popular drama among adolescent and young audience in the country- Icchedana, produced by UNICEF. Her role in this series was of a young and promising footballer of a rural area with a journey towards achievements. Her affection for theatre came to live once again as she mesmerized the audience with her brilliant performance in JB Prestly's famous play- An Inspector Calls (2018). Here she performed in rhythm with many of country's eminent actors. One of Priyam's other recent achievements is starring in 2021 international sensation "No Ground Beneath the Feet". It is a movie set in the backdrop of the scathing consequences of climate change in people's life. In the year 2021and 2022, The film got an official selection in 26th Busan International Film Festival, 52th International Film Festival of India, 17th IFFT- international film festival Thrissur in International Competition, and Osaka Asian Film Festival. "Nirvana" is her upcoming film project which is in post-production phase. And Recently She is busy with two new film project, one is for OTT another is funded by Government.
