Angel Echávez is a Canadian actor of Chinese, Spanish, and Filipino descent. She is best known for her work on Coroner (CBC). Her artistic talents include singing, acting, and painting (portraits). Born in Toronto, Angel initially started out as a singer. She majored in vocal performance at her arts high school, before transferring to a new school that offered no singing courses. It was then she decided to try out drama instead and unexpectedly fell in love with the craft. Angel went on to study Film and Media at Queen's University and subsequently trained as an actor with LB Acting Studio and Michelle Arvizu in Toronto. Notable stage credits included The Hours That Remain directed by Rebecca Benson (Artscape Sandbox Theatre) and Broken Glass (Lakeview Arts Barn). Angel aims to inspire those who grew up in difficult circumstances, like herself, to wholeheartedly pursue their ambitions and dreams. Upcoming projects include a new pilot TV series and an upcoming Netflix series which she will be flying out to Nova Scotia to film for before the end of 2021.
