Rebeca Beta is a writer and multidisciplinary artist based in Buenos Aires and born in Mérida, Venezuela. Her work consists of experimenting mainly with words, voice and electronic sounds to generate imaginary universes that question identity, family and the spaces to which she belongs. She combines the traditions of her culture and symbols imposed by the colony to produce heterogeneous universes. "[Rebeca] Writes with the voice that brings the hope of today's poetry. She is astute and indispensable." Flavia Calise Rebeca's work has been exhibited at Sesiones Cercanas /Club Cultural Matienzo (2018); Cuerpx Entero, virtual exhibition of the Programa Artista Gestorx (2020); and her first book of poems was edited by Acordeón editorial (2020) and presented at Centro Cultural Recoleta (2021). Devenir (2021) is her first audiovisual work in which she played the roles of writer, production designer, performer and musical composer.
