Gelsey Plaza

Gelsey is from the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been passionate about acting and telling stories for as long as she can remember. She grew up performing musical theatre with a prestigious youth musical theatre group, StarStruck Theatre. She owes so much of her acting upbringing to phenomenal StarStruck Theatre Founder and Artistic Director Lori Stokes. She has taken various forms of acting, dance and vocal lessons from Broadway-credited artists such as Kristin Stokes and Juliane Godfrey. Performing in front of the camera is something she has recently discovered a big passion for, and she has so much fun filming and exploring different aspects of her acting. While performing has always been one of Gelsey's greatest passions, she also has an impressive background as an athlete, excelling in rock climbing, as well as skiing and running. She is a competitive rock climber, and helps coach youth teams, and also loves running and yoga in her downtime. Gelsey is also a passionate environmental and mental health activist, showing great enthusiasm for learning how to protect our planet and promoting for mental health awareness, especially in school kids. She hopes that through acting and the art of storytelling, she can encourage artists and athletes to share their stories and fight for a more supportive and empathetic community.
