Rhys Athayde

Rhys Athayde was born and raised in New York City. His parents, Joyce and Olav, are both immigrants from India, making him First-Generation American. Rhys also has an older brother named Kyle Athayde. Rhys has studied with Gregory Berg (Berg Studios), Tessa Auberjonois (Berg Studios - Voiceover), Travis Wong (Joining All Movement Gymnasium), and more! Rhys has overcome immense health obstacles, such as severe asthma, scoliosis, food allergies, and poor eyesight. Rhys' comeback story inspired him to start PHANTOM Fitness, an at-home fitness app, with the goal of spreading his positive outlook and mental toughness to inspire others to fulfill their own dreams. Rhys has pursued a career as an actor from a very young age. Throughout his life, he has been in several school theater productions such as, "The Railway Children," "Damn Yankees," "Bye Bye Birdie," Gilbert and Sullivan's "Patience" & "The Mikado," "The Music Man," and "9 To 5."
