“No one is indispensable and many times I thought about doing something else, but something always comes along that turns me on and keeps me going.” Dennis Smith is a director, playwright and actor. He was born in Madrid, but at the age of three his family moved to Buenos Aires, where he began his acting training with the masters Cora Roca and Agustín Alezzo. Throughout his career, he worked in numerous theatrical projects in different roles and has directed and acted in more than 15 shows, including Negra, Los abrazos huecos, Varsovia 1944, Mi vida anterior and Boyscout, the latter winner of the Argentores 2015 Award and several Hugo Awards. She has also participated in television programs such as La Voz Argentina and Latin American Idol. In 2024, he released his debut feature, the film Virgen Rosa, starring Juana Viale, in which he explores film directing by integrating theatrical resources. Dennis is considered one of the most outstanding figures in Argentine musical theater and continues to expand his artistic repertoire.
