Israel Lachovsky

Israel was born and raised in Montreal, earned a Commerce degree in 1974 and relocated to Calgary in 1978. While in his teens he had his first brush with the Film Industry, working as a Production Assistant on two commercial films. After a successful accounting career in Calgary's energy industry, chance meetings with two diverse contacts suggested the possibility of revisiting his earlier Film interest and he registered with the Faces of Wendy Talent Agency. Hi is a full member of ACTRA and has taken various training workshops starting in 2022. He has had a Co-Star role as the senior physician to Brigham Young in Under the Banner of Heaven 2022) and a Star role as Father of the bride in Dream Wedding (2022). Additionally, he has been a background performer in various local productions such as Heartland (3x), Joe Pickett, Billy the Kid, The Last of Us and others. As well , he has been photographed by an image company producing stock photos, been in a number of commercials, including the Calgary Stampede , Pin Drop Hearing and the United Way of Calgary. His native tongue is English, plus he has proficiency with Canadian French , intermediate Spanish & Yiddish, with varying abilities in German, Italian and Swahili.
