Elias Hernandez

Elias Hernandez was born in Weslaco, Texas United States. He graduated from the University of Rio Grande Valley with honors (magna cum laude) and was on the dean's list throughout his time at the university. His degree is in Mass Communication: Advertising and Public Relations. Elias stars in the short films "Over" and "Retribution" he also is the lead in the scripted podcast series "Am I Alive?" in which he is the director, writer, and editor. From an early age, Elias was obsessed with horror films, while he loved the gory horror flicks of the 80s he also enjoyed classic universal monster films such as The Wolf Man (1941) he also loved watching comedy films and stand-up. His two heroes growing up were Lon Chaney Jr and Jim Carrey. His favorite films have always been werewolf horror movies and he always wanted to play a lycanthrope in a film or television series. As a teenager, he joined a theater class for three years where he first began to write scripts and perform them with his friends on stage. He usually enjoyed doing satire comedy skits and science fiction plays. In university, he took courses that caught his interest such as script writing, film editing, graphic design, and broadcast journalism. During his time in college, he volunteered to act in short films. After he graduated he adapted one of his scripts to a scripted podcast series called "Am I Alive?" which is on Spotify and Youtube, he wrote, directed, edited, and stars in the podcast.
