Tony Renee Bush

Tony Renee Bush is an African-American actress and singer. She was born in Cincinnati, OH. Bush acquired her talent at an early age. She was a exuberant student of Schiel Primary School for Arts Enrichment (Cincinnati, OH) where her gifts of acting and music were quickly discovered. In 1993 she was chosen to attend the School for Creative and Performing Arts (Cincinnati, OH) for her high school years. As a drama major she had the privilege to be cast in numerous plays such as Molière's Tartuffe and The Diary of Anne Frank. In 2003 Bush secured an agent and was cast in several television commercials. After moving to Los Angeles in 2010 she appeared in uncredited roles on productions such as House, How I Met Your Mother, Magic Mike and Batman the Dark Knight Rises. Bush was also a featured actress in 2012 on Comedy Central's Key & Peele. In the hilarious sketch her and Kegan Michael Key play bystanders excited to meet Jordan Peele's Barack Obama in an ATM line. Today Bush along with being a professional singer will be seen in as Terri in the film Shirley (2022). Staring and produced by Regina King, the biopic shares the life of the fearless Shirley Chisholm. Directed by John Ridley the film tells the story of America's first Black congresswoman and first Black candidate to run for President of the United States of America.
