Emmanuel Simba Congera

Emmanuel Simba Congera known as EmgLion, born on December 25th, 1992, graduated from a film school in Vancouver, British Columbia. EmgLion was born in Democratic Republic of Congo and immigrated to Ottawa, Ontario with his family in 2007. He began his acting career in 2018 as an extra with Ange’s AMTI and worked hard to gain as much experience as he possibly could to become the best in his industry. He performed as the second leader in a variety of production, notably an action YouTube series called ‘’Cold Southern Block Season 2’’ shot in Ottawa, Canada, a psychological thriller & drama called ‘’John Wynn’s Mirror Mirror’’ shot in Los Angeles, California, as well as ‘’Dawn of the Zombie Apocalypse’’, a horror & action series shot in Los Angeles, California. EmgLion’s hard work, dedication, and ambition lead him, in 2022, to obtain a scholarship at InFocus Film School in Vancouver, British Columbia and to produce his first short film entitled ‘’Irreplaceable’’. His passion for film production stemmed from the evolving generations and cultural differences he has lived through. The opportunity to experience the acting industry immersed him into an unfamiliar culture where generations idolized designer clothes and a high pace lifestyle, setting the unrealistic standard that a person is not worth much if they lack the ‟appropriate” looks and lifestyle.
